About the Role
Memories In Writing Foundation Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, is dedicated to helping individuals preserve their life stories through memoir workbooks, digital tools, and storytelling events.
We are seeking a mission-driven, part-time Community Engagement Leader to help strengthen our community presence and expand our network of sponsors, clients, and partners. This is a contract-to-hire position, with the potential to grow into a long-term role based on performance and funding availability.
The ideal candidate is a proactive relationship-builder with experience in community outreach, partnership development, or sponsorship engagement—someone who is passionate about storytelling and community impact.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
Community Outreach: Establish and nurture relationships with senior centers, schools, veteran organizations, local businesses, and other nonprofits.
Sponsorship Development: Secure sponsorships, branded partnerships, and bulk workbook orders to support programming and foster revenue growth.
Representation: Attend expos, vendor fairs, and community events to represent the foundation, raise awareness, and engage new supporters.
In-Person Engagement: Host meetings and deliver presentations to inspire community involvement and attract support.
Marketing Collaboration: Contribute to the creation of marketing and sales tools, including flyers, presentations, and proposals, to amplify outreach efforts and partnership development.
CRM & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of leads, outreach activities, and conversion metrics using our CRM system.
Qualifications
2+ years of experience in business development, sponsorship sales, community outreach, or marketing.
Exceptional relationship-building, communication, and public speaking skills.
Self-motivated and goal-oriented, with a strong aptitude for in-person outreach.
Reside in or near Greenville, SC, and possess the ability to travel locally for meetings and events.
A passion for storytelling, senior services, education, or legacy preservation is strongly preferred.
